Boo-Boo loves those interactive touch and feel board books with sensory textures and glittery, shiny patches. But they are expensive. His favorite, “That’s not my Dinosaur” is just shy of $10 for an eight-page book. So I decided to use stickers to add a little sparkle to his plain board books. (I also thought of gluing on bits of fabric or other materials. The book wouldn’t close completely, but that may not really matter. Maybe we will try it later.)
For these pages, I just used some stickers I already had to add a shiny star and moon to “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” a ball for the cat and carrots for the rabbit in “What Does Baby See?”and snowflakes to Eric Carle’s Polar Bear. Now we have new things to see and feel in our old books.
